On Memorial Day weekend 14 years ago, my family rolled into Arkansas from Tennessee. As movers are loading us up to return to Tennessee, I want to say a brief thank you to our beloved Conway friends.
Thank you Conway leaders
I have always admired the fact that Conway has a plan for growth. Every city has a dream or a vision, but how many dreams have turn into reality?
I am a huge fan and friend of Brad Lacy and many others who serve Conway with him at the Chamber, CDC and positions of community service. Many other city and county leaders work diligently together to make the “City of Colleges” a great place to live and raise our kids.
Thank you Conway schools
Holly and Bradley both benefitted from a great education with teachers and faculty who really cared about them. Our Wampus Cat kids were well prepared for college thanks to you. Their band experiences were exceptionally good.
Thank you UCA
We loved living in a city of colleges, but UCA is special because Janet loved her jobs so much as campus dietitian and professor. She will still teach three classes online in the fall, but will greatly miss her UCA & Aramark friends. Two other reasons we love UCA is that our son Bradley will be a student there and our church moved next door to UCA last year.
A special shout out to the president of CBC, Terry Kimbrow, who is a close friend and has distinguished himself as a visionary among Christian educators.
Thank you Conway police
I sincerely enjoyed the opportunity to serve as chaplain which led to many ride-a-longs, banquets, weddings and unfortunately, funerals. Chief Gary has my friendship and respect for life, as do many of his officers. All of Conway’s law enforcement community is top notch. #474
Thank you Second Baptist Church
My eyes are getting wet as I type this, so I’ll make it short and sweet. I love you and will always be thankful for how you loved me “in season and out.”
Thank you for being an extension of the Dance family and for helping us raise Holly and Brad. I can never thank you enough for following my leadership and stepping out on faith for our relocation, Ministry Center, Beast Feast, missions, etc. You are the Great Commission church you wanted to be and your next pastor is in for a huge blessing! God bless you for embracing my call to serve pastors through LifeWay.
Thank you to my friends
It is no secret how close I am to Kyle Seal, Tony Weston, Cornell Maltbia and Rick Bezet. I have many other pastor friends in Conway and Arkansas, but these guys totally own my heart. I miss you already.
My closest friend in Arkansas is Bryan Cook. I think of him and a few other redneck friends I will miss whenever I hear this Tracy Lawrence song, “Find Out Who Your Friends Are.”
I did…
And I am very thankful for you all!

We love you and will miss you! You have truly been a blessing to me and my boys.
Thank you so much Kristy. You are a front row Baptist which makes you a rare and wonderful exception!
Thank you, Mark, for your service as Chaplain for the Conway Police Department. Your commitment to this city was shown many times. I wish you and your wife the best! God Bless!
Thank you so much Sean. You have been a blessing to me as well as our high school and the community you protect and serve!
Thank you for your leadership at 2BC and in our community. And, thank you especially for being the conduit for Andrea to receive the greatest gift of all. May God continue to bless the Dance family, and may you inspire other pastors to put God’s message of grace at the forefront of ministry. “You can’t argue anyone in to heaven.”
Thank you so much for you kind words of encouragement Scott!
